In a world where everyone is gifted, be it in dancing, lightning-bringing, or death-giving, Ever is born…all-powerful. For this gift, she is kidnapped and trafficked at birth. Fifteen years later, Ever still hasn’t seen even a glimmer of her powerful gift. Locked in an abandoned mall in New York City, she’s fighting to survive her captivity, her brutal guards, and the other gifted kids in her cell. She would do anything to escape. Fox is gifted with time manipulation. Like Ever, he hasn't come into his gift yet; like Ever, he hates the mall; and like Ever, he longs to be free. But there’s one thing he values above his freedom—it’s Ever’s love……yet, when the two make a desperate attempt to escape, this attempt proves so dark and twisted that it just might destroy Ever’s love for Fox. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/21523811-into-the-blind?ac=1 And now for the cover..... About the Author: Samantha Vérant is a travel addict, a self-professed oenophile, and a determined, if occasionally unconventional, French chef. Over the years, she’s visited many different countries, lived in many places, and worked many jobs— always on the search for the one thing that truly excited her. Then, one day, she found everything she’s been looking for: a passion for the written word and true love. Writing not only enabled her to open her heart, it led her to southwestern France, where she’s now married to a sexy French rocket scientist she met over twenty years ago, a stepmom to two incredible kids, and the adoptive mother to one ridiculously expensive Bengal cat. When she’s not trekking from Provence to the Pyrénées, tasting wine in American-sized glasses, or embracing her inner Julia Child while deliberating what constitutes the perfect boeuf bourguignon, Samantha is making her best effort to relearn those dreaded conjugations. So I want to read AT LEAST 15 books but I will probably read more. I'm probably going to read books from my TBR list.
BTW there maybe a little surprise tomorrow.... ;) Progress: Sidebar --------> So if you didn't know Kendall and Kylie Jenner [2 youngest out of the Kardashian clan] are publishing a book! [This new has been going around for a while BTW] They posted a picture today and the cover looks so dystopian. [Its is dystopian]
I'm probably going to read it. It's about two girls who come together to save Lex's friend, Kane.
It may just be me and my biased opinion but I have low expectation for this. I'm not hating but I am kind of doubting. I may be wrong only because I haven't read to many books by people like Kendall and Kylie. I read Lauren Conrad's LA Candy trilogy and I really enjoyed it. It gave me sense of fame and it was very straightforward. I could see why some people wouldn't like but thats their opinion. It's something that isn't very difficult to write. But the thing about dystopians is you have to set up the world and describe the setting enough so that the reader doesn't get confused and then you have the character set up which is something you have over time of the book. It's not very good to throw the character at the reader at the beginning of the book. So, tell me, are you going to read it? |
