It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn't know about her grandmother or the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother's whereabouts, she is loath to trust this stranger, but is inexplicably drawn to him, and he to her. As Scarlet and Wolf unravel one mystery, they encounter another when they meet Cinder. Now, all of them must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen Levana, who will do anything for the handsome Prince Kai to become her husband, her king, her prisoner.

Non-spoiler
So if you haven't read the book you ONLY read this part. The next part is spoilers. [I will make sure you know there are spoilers]. So this is the second book of a 4-book-series. The first book is called Cinder. Now this book was an all-in-one dystopian. It has romance, action, comedy, and the dystopian world. [Of course] This book got me screaming, giggling, and on the edge of my seat. It switches between two characters so that helps a ton with suspense. I really enjoyed the book and I hope you will too.
Oh-kay. This book was not that bad like how my 10 year-old saw it as. I read Cinder last year and I read a little of Scarlet to find out that Cinder wasn't even going to be the big character in this book. And being the person I was I didn't read it. But then I saw Christine from polandbananasbooks was reading the series I remembered it and decided to read it again. I have no regrets. This book wasn't as bad and there was still Cinder in the book yay! So as usual..... then ending. [Wait now I can read the Cress synopsis! *Goes to Goodreads and reads Cress synopsis*] Okay so this book was based off Little Red Riding Hood. We got the wolf, grandma, and the food. [The farm-the food red brings to Grandma's house]. Before we get into anything let's talk about the cover. THE COVER IS MEH. I am very stingy with covers. When I walk into Barnes and Noble the covers are my showcase. the cover catch my eye. If your cover is ugly..[unless you title is interesting...] [Yes I know you shouldn't judge the covers] The cover at first looked like a drop of red food color in water. Yes there I said it. then you see the arm. Wooo. It's Red! Okay so now for the end. Ahh Queen Levana, you bitch. I hate how they do this on Luna. They have literal robots. This makes me hate Levana even more. I always feel so bad for Kai because A) he is the new un-experienced emperor B) He still is in a controversy with the Cinder situation [We all know you still like her dude. It's okay you like a criminal. It's okay] and C) it sucks to have Levana your enemy [+to-be wife. It sucks] i really like Kai and Cinder together. So a little further back into the ending that Wolf and Scarlet moment! I thought it was a bit rushed because they've know each other for a week and a few days was basically betrayal. I'm still conflicted on whether to trust Wolf. I love Iko. I was so happy how Iko was "alive" again and it was hilarious how she was complaining of hearing Wolf and Scarlet's conversation. The battle in this book was epic! The alien-thingys and Iko controlling the ship and blasting the people! This whole book was a jumbled book and it flew quickly [sorta]. Thorne, Thorne, Thorne. I like this dude. He is the dude you joke around with all day. He was thinking how hot Cinder was then he meets Emile and is expediently starts hitting on her. He is the flirty type. So back to Cinder. I think she has changed a bit. She's more careful but daunting about things. I'm so sad that they haven't gotten to Africa yet. I thought they would this book. Was anyone sad when Scarlet's grandma died. I was sad but kind of expecting it. I mean I wouldn't be surprised if Scarlet went to find her grandmother dead when she got to Paris. OKAY! Can I just say how Wah! I was when Wolf was telling Scarlet about his grandmother and how she hooked up with a Lunar and his dad was half lunar [meaning Scarlet is 1/4 lunar XD OMG] That part was so weird because now I know why Scarlet's grandma was so important.
OKAY. I'm going to stop because this book review is going EVERYWHERE. I hope you enjoyed!
