The Selection
For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon.
But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.
Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself—and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

The Elite
Thirty-five girls came to the palace to compete in the Selection. All but six have been sent home. And only one will get to marry Prince Maxon and be crowned princess of Illea.
America still isn’t sure where her heart lies. When she’s with Maxon, she’s swept up in their new and breathless romance, and can’t dream of being with anyone else. But whenever she sees Aspen standing guard around the palace, and is overcome with memories of the life they planned to share. With the group narrowed down to the Elite, the other girls are even more determined to win Maxon over—and time is running out for America to decide.
Just when America is sure she’s made her choice, a devastating loss makes her question everything again. And while she’s struggling to imagine her future, the violent rebels that are determined to overthrow the monarchy are growing stronger and their plans could destroy her chance at any kind of happy ending.

This book was my least favorite event wise. It was super well written but event-wise I just didn't like it. This book was a little slower and it was just something you wanted to fly through. It's the 2nd book of the Selection Trilogy so if you haven't read the Selection then you should definitely read that first book.
I was so mad during the whole book. America was going between Aspen and then Maxon the Aspen and it was AHHHH [ it was driving me crazy. ] This book was crazy. Marlee being eliminated from the Selection and getting canned, the rebels are constantly attacking, America has the diary! Yeesh! This was one big ride! Okay so the ending was so sad the a Just Kidding! thing. I was just like " Wah? Hu-muh, What this isn't happening" when Maxon and America were in the safe room, talking about things and how the King hits his son and wife. I was just so shocked during those moments. It was just so sad! Then America was leaving and I knew Maxon was going to ask her to stay because "The One"! I think the author knew that all of us knew America was going to win but was just trying to convince us that she might not. Kriss was just so annoying throughout this whole entire thing. Like I understand you want to win but could you do it with someone else? Honestly I didn't really like any of the girls because I kind of felt threatened that they were all glaring at America and pretending to be her friend. This book was basically Maxon and America crumbling the going we're back together and then okay the Aspen and America time together then Maxon and America and fighting again. Like this one was so frustrating because of America's little to no decisions. I need to know what happens in The One!
The One
The Selection changed America Singer's life in ways she never could have imagined. Since she entered the competition to become the next princess of Illéa, America has struggled with her feelings for her first love, Aspen--and her growing attraction to Prince Maxon. Now she's made her choice . . . and she's prepared to fight for the future she wants.
Find out who America will choose in The One, the enchanting, beautifully romantic third book in the Selection series!

The final book of the Selection series. Woah that was fast! This book was just phew and flew past us. Not gonna say much because it is the last book and any word can give the whole away!
Yes yes yes yes yes! The ending was...let's say bipolar. Okay first Maxon is going to marry America then they have their moment. We have the Aspen and America situation that always annoys the eff out of me. It's just.. can you pah-lease just break it off with Aspen already! I was just so annoyed with America. Then Maxon finds America and Aspen and decides to marry Kriss and ugghhh. Then how he was being so mean to America and then he was dying under the table. Maxon is now king and marries America like originally planned. Okay, I actually like Celeste in this book after she started cry and all that jazz. I liked her and was so sad when she died. Also the ending! The ending was just what everyone wanted. They get married and ya-de-ya-de-ya. Celeste is dead Anne is gone too ( :( )
So America's dad and Kriss, rebels. I was so sad when America's dad died and then we find out he was a rebel. I was just like woah..and then Kriss is a rebel. Yeah...that was just what the eff and whoa. Back to the ending...Maxon is going to dissolve the caste... now I need an epilogue! [Or I'll write one... :D] Another thing that annoyed me so much was King Clarkson. He was such a anayhole. You don't have to be so harsh against America! One more thing! The rebels were just the weirdest thing because whenever I read a dystopian type thing the Rebels and the government are at constant battle. Okay maybe with the Northerners it was like that but it was weird and cool to see that the rebel team and government is working together. Of course it was also cool to see and Illea descendant still alive.
Thanks for reading I hope you enjoy and have great day! :)
